Wauw!聽 That is our impression of New Zealand now, after 4 days. Last days we travelled on the northern island and saw the most beautiful nature. We visited Thermal Wonderland, with Hot springs, geysers and a big mud-pot (not as impressive as Yellowstone NP unfortunately Leo, but also very interesting to see), we hiked the Alpine crossing up Mount Ngauruhoe, better known as mount Doom in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and we swam in several lakes where we stayed overnight with our “camper”.聽 There are too much impressions to share now in this blog, and there are only 30 minutes left before I have to leave this internetcafe to catch the ferry to the southern island. I am afraid the next time I am able to please you all with the photographs I made will be in Australia or even later, because the internetfacilities here are very bad. But no worries, I will at least share everything with you when I am back home in februari!

    Ik kan me voorstellen dat de indrukken te overweldigend zijn om dat in woorden uit te drukken, en zeker als je onder tijdsdruk zit te werken omdat je nog een ferry moet halen naar “the southern island”. Het klinkt alsof je de trein naar Eindhoven moet halen, maar het zal in werkelijkheid een stuk opwindender zijn! En ja, de factor “tijd” zal zeker voor de wereldreiziger zo nu en dan een grote vijand zijn! Ik vind het toch al knap dat je de rust hebt om er regelmatig voor te gaan zitten om ons deelgenoot te maken van je belevenissen!
    We kijken uit naar je foto’s, via de website (ik moet natuurlijk blog zeggen!), of anders als je terug bent gewoon weer op het tv-scherm op de Orthenseweg met een lekker hapje en een drankje!

    Great that your opinion about NZ changed after 4 days, couldn’t believe that it wasn’t as good as you expected!
