So, here we are, in Bluff, the most southern village of the southern Island! The last days we experienced some really desolated areas during our trip to Milford Sound, we saw unbelievable combinations of Cliffs and Sea overthere. Before we walked to the impressive Franz Joseph Glacier and did all the adventural things we wanted to do in Queenstown, the capitol of extreme sports. Canyoning, cliffjumping (http://www.canyonswing.co.nz/), mountainbiking and Jetboat riding, they all were great to experience. Some Photos will hopefully follow later on.
Now we are heading to Stewart Island this afternoon, the ferry leaves at 17.00. There we will do some really good hiking and fishing the next two days. Hopefully the weather will be fine…

Did you actually give yourself up to that cliffjumping and canyonswinging, Sander? Great victory, man!You’ve really gained in braveness, admire your courage, son!! Seems very exciting and challenging indeed (but almost to terrifying to me)! Ought to have much confidence in the used materials, but must then create quiet some other dimension in falling and speeding up experience than all the rollercoasters in the world you visited till now were up to! Not to speak of the unique wideness of swinging thereafter …! Must have been overwhelming to go through!

Hoi Sander
Je maakt mij ontzettend nieuwsgierig naar al jouw “jack Ass” activiteiten.
Afgelopen weekend werd de Lord of the Rings weer herhaald en ik heb met nog meer aandacht naar het landschap gekeken, wetende dat jij daar nu rondtrekt.
Als je weer teruggaat naar Australië pas dan op.
De familie Raaymakers (Ferd de broer van Hanneke) is net daar geland en voor je het weet staan ze voor je. Ze gaan vier weken rondtrekken maar eerst pikken ze hun zoon Tom op die in Canberra stage loopt op een onderzoekcentrum voor plantkunde.
Nou Sander fijne feestdagen down under . Het zal wel raar zijn kerstmis met 30 graden vieren.
Bij ons is het al dagen echt winters met volop sneeuw, dus dat wordt een witte kerst.
